Boy’s Bedroom Renovation and Redecoration – Middle Park
This boy’s bedroom renovation in Middle Park involved removing an existing mirrored wardrobe, repairing and replastering affected wall surfaces, installing or repairing skirting boards, fitting a new picture rail and preparing the room for full redecoration. Stone Blue and School House White were then used across the walls, ceiling, door and joinery to create a clean, coordinated finish.
Wardrobe Removal and Initial Repairs
The existing mirrored wardrobe was carefully removed, revealing wall areas that required repair and preparation. Damaged and uneven surfaces were made good, loose material was removed and the affected sections were prepared to create a sound base for the plastering and finishing work that followed.
Plastering and Surface Preparation
The repaired areas were plastered where required, with particular attention given to the wall previously concealed by the wardrobe and the surrounding surfaces. Once the plaster had fully dried, the room was carefully prepared for the next stages, creating an even and consistent surface ready for decorative detailing and painting.
Skirting Boards, Picture Rail and Decorative Details
Skirting boards were installed or repaired where necessary, and a new picture rail was fitted to create a consistent decorative line around the room. Decorative mouldings were repaired or completed where required, while smaller imperfections were filled and prepared before decoration to achieve a neat and cohesive finish.
Painting and Final Decoration
The bedroom was fully redecorated in a coordinated two-tone scheme. Stone Blue was used across the lower walls, door, skirting boards, picture rail and joinery, while School House White was applied to the upper walls and ceiling, creating a clean contrast and bringing the repaired and newly fitted elements together throughout the room.
