This Lee Green garden was transformed through a series of landscaping and boundary improvement works carried out in several stages. The project included rebuilding a collapsed fence, preparing and installing artificial grass, constructing a new concrete slab, laying new paving, raising the existing fence, and later completing the garden with a final horizontal slatted boundary fence.
Before the renovation began, the garden had an ageing paved layout, overgrown areas and a section of boundary fencing that had collapsed and required rebuilding. The existing condition of the space was assessed before the wider landscaping works began, establishing the starting point for the garden transformation.
After removing the damaged and collapsed fencing, we rebuilt the boundary to restore privacy and create a secure enclosure for the garden. This was the first version of the new fence, completed before the later landscaping and further boundary alterations.
The garden was cleared and levelled before installing the artificial grass. The ground was prepared in stages, including installing a membrane and compacting the sub-base to create a stable, even foundation before laying and finishing the artificial turf.
A new concrete slab was constructed within the garden to create a solid, level base for the designated area. The ground was prepared, measured and formed before the concrete was poured and finished, providing a durable foundation for the next stage of the project.
The next stage combined the installation of new paving with alterations to the existing boundary fence. While the paved area was prepared and laid, the first rebuilt fence was also raised to improve privacy and create a more defined garden boundary.
The boundary was later reconstructed again to create the final fence design, using horizontal timber slats for a cleaner and more contemporary finish. This final stage completed the garden boundary and brought the landscaping works together visually.
