Kitchen Renovation and Finishing – Gants Hill
This Gants Hill kitchen renovation involved stripping back the existing finishes, preparing the walls and services, installing new wall tiling, worktops, and kitchen fittings, and finishing the space with a coordinated grey-and-white palette. New sink, tap, hob and extractor elements were integrated as the kitchen progressed towards its finished layout.
Initial condition and Strip-Out
The kitchen had already been partially stripped back when work began, exposing sections of the walls, existing pipework and electrical points. Old finishes were removed to prepare the space for the new kitchen layout, while the underlying surfaces and service areas were made ready for the next stages of the renovation.
Wall Preparation and Tiling
Following preparation of the walls, grey metro-style tiles were installed across the main kitchen surfaces and around the window area. The tiles were carefully set out around sockets, cabinetry and service points before being grouted to create a clean, consistent backsplash throughout the room.
Worktop, Cabinetry and Appliance Installation
New worktops and kitchen fittings were installed as the room began to take its final shape. Openings were prepared for the sink and hob, while the surrounding cabinetry, wall units and extractor hood were fitted into the developing kitchen layout.
Final Kitchen Details
The completed kitchen combines white worktops and cabinetry with grey tiled walls and contrasting black fittings. The finished sink and tap area, hob and extractor hood bring the main elements together, creating a practical and coordinated kitchen with a clean contemporary finish.
